Used Komatsu PC200-8 excavator

Komatsu PC200-8 is the 20-ton Komatsu excavator we usually recommend for earthmoving, trenching, loading, road work, rental fleets and resale. It is easy to understand in many markets, but the model name alone does not make a machine worth buying. Clean paint cannot fix weak hydraulics, high water temperature, slow travel or a tired undercarriage.

We usually keep around five PC200-8 machines in stock. Current machines may range from about 2016 to 2023, with working hours from roughly 500 to 10,000 hours. Lower-hour units are usually cleaner and higher-priced, while higher-hour units may suit buyers who care more about budget and working condition. Some are original paint, some are repainted, and some only have small paint repair. Most undercarriages are around 80% condition or have been renewed, but the exact rollers, chain, sprocket and track shoes should be checked by video.

PC200-7, PC220-8 and PC240-8 are also available when the job or budget needs a different direction. PC200-7 can fit tighter budgets or markets with limited repair support for newer machine systems. PC220-8 or PC240-8 should be discussed when the work is heavier than a normal PC200-8 job.

I do not recommend PC200-8 for markets where fuel quality is unstable or local mechanics cannot handle Komatsu -8 series engine and electronic system issues. It is a better choice in markets where Komatsu -8 excavators are accepted and repair knowledge is available.

Before quotation, ask for the latest video of the exact machine. I look at engine start, hydraulic response, swing, travel, undercarriage, visible leakage, machine plate and loading details first. The hour meter is only a reference. Working video tells more truth.
